3.) C-Section - Bulldogs can not have a natural delivery due to the large heads of the puppies and the small pelvis of the mom. Experienced breeders know better than to take a chance with their Female Bulldogs life and the life of her puppies by attempting a natural delivery. There goes another $500 - $1000!!
4.) You then have to hand feed the puppies every 2 hours AROUND THE CLOCK for the first few weeks of life due to the mothers shock and pain from surgery and lack of milk. This is very emotional and time consuming. The puppies have to have a whelping box/area, heating pads, puppy milk and bottles. There goes another $150+ per litter! Not to mention all of the sleepless nights!
5.) You now have to keep the puppies up to date on all of their vaccinations and wormings in order to keep them healthy and get them ready for purchase.... this is another $200+ per litter.
6.) And last but not least - just to ship a Bulldog Puppy, you have to have a Health Certificate which is atleast $30 PER PUPPY as well as a Shipping Crate which is another $30+ per puppy! Then you have another $200 to $250 PER PUPPY for the Flight Fees!!!
So, as you can plainly see - if they are offering $400 -$1,000 Bulldogs shipped - skip their ad! It will take a entire litter just to cover all of the costs associated with Getting Started Breeding Bulldogs and Raising the litter.
The 2nd way that people try to scam is by claiming that they have a Bulldog Puppy that has been abandoned or the owners have passed away suddenly or the puppy was lost with no owner identification or they have a puppy whom they love very much but had to move out of the country and they just want to find a good home. In most all cases, they will tell you that they are out of the country but will ship the Bulldog Puppy to you via Air if you will only pay the shipping fees! THIS IS A SCAM!!!! Pass this ad or email without a second thought!
I do hope to have enlightened some of you as to how cruel and heartless some people really are - to try and scam money from hard working and honost people. PLEASE - If you want to purchase a Bulldog puppy - rather it is from me - or any other Breeder.... do your research, insist on speaking voice to voice via phone - not just through email. Visit the puppy if you can. If not, ask for photos with a specific Item in the picture or a piece of paper with your name on it. Make sure that your puppy is a real puppy and not a stolen photo from a legit Breeders website- just to steal your money!
It takes a Very Special kind of Breeder to go through all of the obstacles of Breeding and Raising Healthy Bulldogs. It is those Special Few that keep this Breed Alive. Bulldogs would be extinct if it were not for those of us who Truely Love and Cherish the Breed and whom are willing to put in the extra effort that it requires to breed and raise these awesome dogs. It HAS to be for the Love of the Breed and not for the Love of the Money. But at the same time, I will be the 1st to admit that Bulldog Puppies are expensive! They do cost MONEY. They just dont come cheap. If it seems to be to good to be true - it probably is.
